Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) / self-employed and employees / COVID-19

With the COVID-19 pandemic, many employers had to temporarily close down to comply with regulations issued by François Legault to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect workers. That said, financial assistance will be offered to self-employed workers, employees and people affected by COVID-19.
In also, an update was announced on March 25, 2020, the Government of Canada introduces the Canada Emergency Response Benefit. The allowance will be $2,000 taxable per month for 4 months for all workers, whether they qualify for Employment Insurance. You will be able to apply online via a secure web portal starting the first week of April or by phone.

A cheque will be sent to you within 10 days of your application.
